Fashion Magazines: Always There, Always Will Be.

As I found my rhythm for this letter, and thought about where to take this post, I ended up going for the return of Love Magazine yesterday July 14th, 2025. Thinking how I could create an over-general letter about fashion magazines. Sounded like fun. Saying the word “fashion” has to have meaning again and a good fashion magazine is like the salt to the recipe. The necessary touch for a social scene to pop up, and a generation to get inspired.

So I got in place, and started drafting my opening that almost always starts with the title. I came up with:

Love Magazine, Love Life.

This was going to be the title for this letter. I ended up changing it. Here is why.

A good title If I am being positive. A good title, with no harm to anybody. But my curiosity won.

Love Magazine is back and I am all up for it but I was shocked when I saw their post. I’ve been a fan for a while and always thought Love Magazine was such a good name. Over the years, they did some amazing editorials, prints, and general amazingness. Then they closed.

I quickly went over to Katie Eleanor Grand’s Instagram. I discovered her through Love Magazine, and was never without her content filling up my collections.

She launched Perfect Magazine after LOVE, another great name. I love Perfect and their editorial work. It is always flawless, continuous editorial kills at Perfect. I hadn’t gone over to Katie Grand’s IG since the Nadia Lee Cohen shoot which was so insane. So naturally, I went over to Katie Grand’s IG to snoop a little, and see if she posted anything about the return of Love Mag. Not that she had to, but still, the curiosity was hitting me. Absolute zero fucks given by Katie.
