I met Carola at a friends birthday a few years ago, and I knew we would shoot at one point. Her unique face and attitude make her an undisputed talented, smart, and cool city woman.
I can say with full confidence that I wish I knew what I know now, when going into a simple test shoot like this. Now fuzz, no mood board, just trust. (Also no team, which can be a waste of time, ups.) Carola never questioned what we where going to do, which today in age I understand can be a hard thing for a model. With so much mediocracy out there, I get why they are skeptic.
I cheated just a little bit, by pulling some of my favorite pieces of the LUi archive last minute, for the styling. Which gave me hints this time around that I need to update my archive. Still my pieces I feel are timeless, and every model brings their own magic.
(P.s - if you are in an intern level position, I am looking for a fashion styling assistant for the next season. Location - Mexico City)

We ended the shoot with one of my favorite dresses, which I actually designed for a brand I was going to launch to the big stage called Sabrosa. (I am not going into clothing again for a while, literally the hardest or even worst business ever, for me.) Successful fashion designers staring at me right now. Don’t lie, you know some of it is true. (Also a lot, a lot of nepo babies, and trust funds go into fashion.)
After the last look, we chatted for a while. Mainly me venting about my past career in fashion, so thank you Carola for not just modeling, but listening.
I am really curious to see what Carola will do with here talent in art, tattoo design and editorial design. Maybe will work on something together one day. She is still in school, so will have to wait just a little. But I tagged her IG, if you wanna go show here some love.
See you at the office
LUi.
P.s. 2 - If you want to model for the AT THE OFFICE mini series I’ve been doing, don’t hesitate to email me.)
